Tverskaya - Patriarshy Ponds

The main street of Moscow – Tverskaya street begins almost from the Red square. Long time ago it wasn’t a street, but a big road, which leaded to old Russian cities of Tver (that is why the street is called Tverskaya), Novgorod, and since XVIII century - to Saint-Petersburg. Russian tsars used to enter Moscow by going along the Tverskaya street when coming from the new northern capital. They passed through the Triumphal gates, which were situated in the end of the street, where now Triumphal square is located.

If you choose an apartment at the beginning of Tverskaya or on bordering quiet lanes (Romanov, Brusov, Leontievsky, Kamergersky…), you will be living in the very heart of our capital, 3-4 minutes walk from the Kremlin. Many apartments on top floors have wonderful panoramic views on the Kremlin, Tverskaya street and the historical center of Moscow.

In the first square of Tverskaya street, which has the same name, the building of the Moscow City Hall and the monument to the city founder Prince Yuri Dologorukyi are situated.
In the 30-s of the past century Tverskaya street was reconstructed and widened. Some buildings were moved up to 14 (!) meters away, some of them were pulled down, and new buildings were erected instead. Nowadays these buildings are called “Stalin buildings” in honor of the epoch. Such buildings are of a high quality, made of brick and stone with marble and granite decoration. The entrances are very high with concierge and security. The apartments in such buildings are spacious, with high ceilings, large windows and bay rooms.
The second square in Tverskaya street is famous Pushkinskaya square. Here Tverskaya street crosses the “green ring” of the capital – the Boulevard ring. The most famous restaurant among foreign visitors “Pushkin” is situated here. On the right - is cinema “Rossiya”, where every year the Moscow film festival is hold. There are also two streets, which border with the cinema: Bolshaya and Malaya Dmitrovka, as well as Strastnoy boulevard, leading to the famous Chisty Ponds.  On the left is Tverskoy boulevard, on the south part of which is located perhaps the most prestigious and famous district of Moscow – Patriarshy Ponds.
Patriarshy Ponds is one of the most loved districts of Muscovites. This green corner, located in the very center of the megapolis, is very attractive for buying and renting real estate.
One of the oldest Moscow districts became its name due to Patriarshaya sloboda, which was situated there and was surrounded by three ponds. Nowadays there is only one pond with total square of 1 hectare. In summer you can admire mirror-like surface of the pond. In winter it is used as a skating ring.
This district is attractive due to its transport accessibility. It is located in few minutes walk from four metro stations and central Moscow streets, very close to Boulevard and Garden ring.
We should also mention about the developed infrastructure of this district: shops and restaurants, museums and theaters, squares and parks, schools, kindergartens and play grounds.
Here, in Bogoslovsky lane, is located our small, but very cozy and hospitable office, where our old friends and new clients are always welcomed!
By Mayakovskaya metro station Tverskaya street crosses the Garden ring and passes to 1-st Tverskaya-Yamskaya street, which ends by Belorussky railway station. Here there are always a lot of objects, offered for rent o sale, as cheap, as well as elite apartments. In this district there are Stalin period, Pre-revolutionary, modern brick, so called CK, and new business-class buildings.
